Located at Battersea Square, this site is a Victorian mid-terraced three-storey building with existing mansard loft accommodation and a basement/cellar. The project, in a conservation area, involved a high-specification renovation of the whole house with a three-storey extension. With a new roof terrace access, kitchen and fitted furniture, this project has created a characterful and space-efficient house for the client. A mitigated approach is required to the client's desire for a rigorous contemporary design that naturally fits into its context.

Bourne Architects, appointed by the contractor, is involved in the project management during the construction stages, and oversee the construction process, including coordinating with contractors, managing construction schedules, and resolving any issues that arise during construction. We have answered site queries while ensuring the architect’s design is successfully conducted. Our role also included communication, reporting and purchasing, serving as a liaison between the client, architect, contractors, and other parties involved in the project, and providing regular progress reports and updates to keep all parties informed.
